Themes include: trauma, grief and loss, trauma’s effect on the brain, boundaries/assertiveness, self-care/coping, managing strong emotions, relationships with support people, body image/awareness, and sexuality and intimacy.
  • Female adult survivors of adult sexual violence, facilitated by Emily Newcomer, MEd.
  • Female adult survivors of adult childhood sexual violence, facilitated by Ruby Jo Walker, LCSW.
  • Male adult survivors of adult/childhood sexual violence, facilitated by Leigh Meigs, MSW.

To provide more choices for healing, SASO collaborates with Medicine Horse Center to provide Equine-Assisted Therapy groups to survivors for a small fee.
